Unpainted is the online gallery by Melbourne artist Josh Fartch.
Fartch draws on the study of materials and process and the indeterminate nature of in-between states - between representation and abstraction, material and immaterial, the real and virtual, tomorrow and yesterday.
Josh has an interest in both modern and contemporary painters tackling traditional subjects where clouds and mountains are common motifs. Recent painters of interest include Constable, Richter and Hockney, in particular the later's approach to technology.
